Why is Akhter InterJigsaw XP special? |
Whilst there are many network management software programs available, Akhter InterJigsaw has been developed with a special kind of user in mind. We recognise that many people are asked to administer their organisation's network as an additional duty to their primary role. Because these people may not be network experts, we have developed a friendly, easy to use front end that provides a powerful control tool for networks running Windows 2000 or 2003 servers and Windows 98 or XP clients. |
How could it be used? |
Akhter InterJigsaw allows you to control and define groups of users on the system, so you can determine what programs and files they have access to. For instance, in a school, you may want to focus each class on the files relevant to their part of the curriculum, or restrict Internet access to only certain users. In a company, only the HR department might be allowed to see the payroll, but the whole company would be encouraged to view the newsletter page on the company's web site. |
Secure Data Management |
The central server stores all of the organisation's data, with each user allocated an area to store their work. Users are not able to access other users work, although authorised users may make certain files available in common locations for selected groups to access. |

Adding users is simple |
Adding a user to the system takes seconds to do. Just tell Akhter InterJigsaw which group the user belongs to and it will automatically assign the appropriate access permissions, create a home directory and configure a tailored desktop screen. |
Adding groups is simple too! |
Adding a group of users to InterJigsaw is simple. Just set up the template for the group, then key in the user names individually, or import in bulk using the InterJigsaw Importer System. |
Importer System |
Akhter InterJigsaw's Importer System allows a group of users to be imported in seconds from an existing data file. The importer will automatically allocate accounts, passwords and the appropriate access permissions, home directories and tailored desktops. |

Complete images of the settings of any workstation can be taken and stored on the server in a compressed format. They can be restored at any time, with the system allowing up to 254 workstations to simultaneously download and restore their original settings. |
Central Printer Control |
Automatically configures printers depending on the computer location without the need for installing printer drivers on the local machines. |
Control Safe Surfing Module |
You can use InterJigsaw to control the separate Akhter InterGenie module that allows safe surfing, providing access to over 10,000 pre-approved web sites. The number of sites is growing all the time. Contact Akhter for further details of InterGenie. |
Helpdesk Module |
The separate Helpdesk Module working in conjunction with InterJigsaw , provides Akhter with remote access to each PC and server, allowing technical support to be provided without having to wait for a visit. |
